Gijón, the most natural destination for tourist cruises.

In recent years, the Port of Gijón has experienced a remarkable increase in stopovers and in 2016 received 19 ships and more than 33,000 passengers.
The Port of Gijón, located in the center of the Spanish Cantabrian Coast (43º34′ / 5º40’W), is integrated into the cruise routes of the European Atlantic and also in the repositioning itineraries between the Baltic and the Mediterranean.
A sheltered, easily accessible port, it is able to accommodate the largest cruise ships that exist today on the market, in any weather conditions.
An ideal port, for large vessels due to its berthing facilities (the largest cruise ship docked in Gijón: Anthem of the Seas and its twin Ovation of the Seas – 348 m length), as well as for smaller and more luxurious vessels, including the more and more common expedition cruises.
