Port Authority

The Port Authority of Gijón is a public agency that depends on the Ministry of Public Works & Transport, with its own legal personality and assets, with full capacity to act, and is governed by Royal Legislative Decree 2-2011 Revised Text Law of Ports BOE-A-2011-16467. Its responsibilities include the provision of general services and the management and control of port services, as well as the planning, construction and maintenance of port works and services. The governing body of the Port Authority of Gijón is the Board of Directors and the President.
